By downloading or using Coating Inspector (the "App") or this website, you agree to these terms. The App is provided by Austenite Pty Ltd.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the App on your devices. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute the App or its content, including question banks, explanations and reference material.
The App is an educational and field resource. It does not provide certification, qualification or professional advice. Always refer to the latest AMPP/NACE, BGAS-CSWIP and applicable project standards for official guidelines and requirements. You remain solely responsible for the accuracy and validity of your own inspections, measurements and reports.
You retain ownership of the inspection data, photos and reports you create. You grant us the limited rights needed to store and sync that content on your behalf. The App stores data on your device and, when you sign in, synchronises it to the cloud. We take no responsibility for loss of data stored in the App, whether local or synced, however caused — including device damage or loss, uninstallation, failed synchronisation, subscription lapse or service interruption. Export and back up any records you cannot afford to lose.
We do not share your information with third parties. Data you provide may be used to operate the App and for marketing of our own apps and services. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Premium features are offered via auto-renewing subscriptions billed through the Apple App Store, Google Play or Stripe. Subscriptions renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled through your store or Stripe account settings.
You agree not to misuse the App, attempt unauthorised access to our systems, scrape or extract the question banks, or use the App in violation of any law.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Austenite Pty Ltd is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the App, including data loss and decisions made on the basis of App output. Our total aggregate liability for any and all claims arising out of or relating to the App is limited to a refund of the subscription fees you paid to us for the then-current subscription period — and shall in no event exceed that amount. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law; where such law applies, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or refunding the amount paid, at our election.
We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be signposted in the App or on this site.
